It’s nice to get in touch with the full history of cannabis. For example, how the plant became illegal thanks to cotton farmers is often touched on but nobody really goes into the details, thankfully Steven Leonard-Johnson and Tina Rappaport have stepped up to address this.
Their book CBD-Rich Hemp Oil: Cannabis Medicine is Back is an in-depth examination of cannabis and not just CBD oil. That’s a good thing, I think, you ought to fully understand anything you put into your body and its history is part of that.
The Highlights
This book focuses on the science. There’s no baloney or mystical mumbo-jumbo to try and elucidate the benefits of CBD oil; it’s all about the research. This is very important to me. Do you know what the alternative to “alternative medicine” is? It’s medicine.
Real medicine is far more useful than snake oil. Here on Pain Authority we always try to present the scientific case (or explain its absence) for anything we recommend. As you’ll know, my husband loves to use CBD oil for his arthritis and there are real benefits to taking a scientific approach to treating his pain.

The Not So Highlights
CBD-Rich Hemp Oil: Cannabis Medicine is Back can be a little dry at times. There’s nothing wrong with presenting the facts but it can help to give a little flavor to your prose while you do so. I think if you read this as you’re going to bed, it might knock you out before you are blown away by the information on CBD oil.
Having said that, it’s worth reading. This is solid, actionable, information with plenty of attention to detail. Have a cup of coffee first and you’ll be fine.
